Modified Bitumen

Modified bitumen roof membranes utilize composite sheets consisting of a polymer modified bitumen often reinforced and sometimes surfaced with various types of mats, films and mineral granules. Modified bitumen membranes provide enhanced waterproofing characteristics such as flexibility, high tensile strength, increased elongation properties along with puncture and heat resistance.

Modified bitumen roofing and waterproofing systems are applied with hotasphalt, cold adhesives or can be heat applied. These various application methods allow for varying job criteria such as limited building access, low odor thresholds and accelerated roof application concerns.
