ALLFIRST
BANK FACILITY
ROOF REPLACEMENT
LOCATION: MILLSBORO, DE |
For the past two (2) years Potteiger - Raintree,
Inc. has been called to do phased construction at the 325,000
sq. ft. Allfirst Bank Facility in Millsboro, DE. In year 2001
we re-roofed approximately 87,000 sq. ft. and in year 2002
we re-roofed approximately 100,000 sq. ft. We are currently
negotiating the last phase of this facility at 37,500 sq.
ft.
Potteiger - Raintree, Inc. completed each section of this
project ahead of schedule and problem free. The new tapered
roof system eliminated the existing problem of ponding water
and also reduced the heating and cooling cost to the owner
by approximately 30%.
Some of the unique aspects of this job were:
- For interior safety reasons the working
hours were 6:00 PM to
7:00 AM.
- All office equipment had to be protected
daily because of the open space that existed below the roof
deck.
- Removal of two (2) existing Built Up
Systems with gravel surfacing. (The roof insulation was
mechanically fastened in place)
- The replacement of numerous sections
of roof deck and replaced with roof deck that had to have
a special reflected coating.
- Installing new equipment supports
for the condensing units for all computers at this facility.
Condensers had to have uninterrupted service.
At the end of 2002 project we had Allfirst
employee's asking us when we were going to start and in fact
we were 100% completed with all tear off.
